1.What do you like about blogging?

Ermmm…there are lots of things actually that I like about blogging. First of all, it can function as a diary or planner for me. So, it would be easier for me to look back at memories or things that I have planned and wish to do. Besides, through blogging, it enables me to share many things with everyone. It doesn’t matter if it is an academic articles, jokes or whatever because the most important thing here is sharing it with everybody around the globe.

2. What you do not like about blogging?

Things that I do not like about blogging is the possibility of me sharing hings that should not be shared. For example, I might tell a story of my friends which for me is a joke, but for him or her might not. Beside, it is also a possibility of copyright problem because most of us love to share materials from certain websites and put them into our blog.

3. What have you gained from blogging e.g. Language skills, improved fluency,
critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?

Blogging would help in improving my language if the blog is for academical purposes, but not if it is not academical. In terms of critical thinking yes because it requires sharp thinking to process on what I am going to post in my blog.

4. What do you like about this course?

Actually, this course has taught me lots of things especially computer-wise. Something that I do not know how to do before, I can do it by myself now. The things learnt also are helpful for me as teachers as I would have to develop lots of interesting teaching resources.


5. What you do not like about this course?

Honestly, the modules. However, the modules are where I learnt the most. So, I do not see it as negative anymore because why see the negative if there is more positive.

6. What have you learnt from this course?

Lots of things actually. Things like photo, audio, video editing, etc.. would be really helpful for me in the future.

7.What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

Using various of softwares and technology. Before I enetered this course, I thought I was going to learn how to develop resources using coloured papers, scissors, colour pencils and all that, but it seemed I was wrong, very wrong!

8. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?

As I mentioned before, developing resources using scissors, papers, colour pencils, all that.

1.Internet and computing skills

1.a.What do you like about this module?

It exposed to me with what I could actually do using the internet. So, I could use the internet as maximum as possible and accordingly.

2.b.What do you not like about this module?

Some of the things are things that I already knew and mastered, meaning that I do not learn quite a lot by doing things that I already know.

3.c.What do you like about the task given for this module?

Some of the tasks are challenging and things that I never knew before. So I really enjoy doing it and learning new things.

4.d.What do you not like about the task given for this module?

As mentioned before, some of the tasks are already mastered by me, so I do not learn a lot.

5.6.e.What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Downloading things without having to pay. It is a good thing actually eventhough it is not law-wise. So, I can access lots of things and get them more easily.

7.f.How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

I manage to look for the best aids actually. For instance, if the images found might not quite appropriate, I would manage to look for other options, which is better.

2. Photo Editing

1.a.What do you like about this module?

The module helps me to manipulate pictures, so it would look coll and more interesting than the original one.

2.b.What do you not like about this module?

None because almost most of the tasks and skills introduced are new to me.

3.c.What do you like about the task given for this module?

Of course, when there are pictures that do not look good can be edited to make it better.

4.d.What do you not like about the task given for this module?

None.

5.e.What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Noise reduction, remove red eye, adjust brightness, etc..

6.f.How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

I can insert texts, adjust the colours, etc.. to make it more colourful and appropriate for classroom.

3. Audio Editing Skills

1.a.What do you like about this module?

Without a doubt, it helps me to make certain audios according to my liking.

2.b.What do you not like about this module?

Several softwares had slowed down my laptop.

3.c.What do you like about the task given for this module?

It helps me to edit certain songs that contain inappropriate words but through this module, it enables me to remove them. Besides, several audios might be low in quality, though, by using this module, I manage to upgrade the quality.

4.d.What do you not like about the task given for this module?

Some of the tasks are quite similar.

5.e.What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Cut songs, combine songs, upgrade the quality, remove unwanted noise, make mp3 ringtone, etc..

6.f.How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

For example, an audio might be slow and low in quality, so, I could upgrade the quality to suit with the classroom condition.

4. Video Editing Skills

1.a.What do you like about this module?

It taught me how to modify videos to make it better and appropriate for ESL classroom specifically.

2.b.What do you not like about this module?

Several tasks are quite similar.

3.c.What do you like about the task given for this module?

I manage to combine several videos, images, etc.. to make them become one and I found it was a really exciting experience after looking at the result.

4.d.What do you not like about the task given for this module?

The softwares used cause my laptop to slow down.

6.e.What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Combine videos, cut videos, insert texts, etc..

7.f.How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

I would be able to make a video regarding a topic. Pupils would love to watch video most because it makes them relax and don’t feel any pressure to learn.

5. Software for ELT

1.a.What do you like about this module?

It taught me several softwares that are useful in helping me to develop resources.

2.b.What do you not like about this module?

As usual, the softwares slow down my laptop.

3.c.What do you like about the task given for this module?

It helps me to use various of softwares to design interesting teaching aids to be used in the classroom.

4.d.What do you not like about the task given for this module?

Some of the tasks have similarities only names are different.

5.e.What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?

Designing ads, brochure, business cards, etc..

6.f.How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?

It would help me to design god teaching aids based on the topics to be taught.

None, I think everything is OK.

The final class for resources..

Through out this course i have learned immensely and lot of new technological tools have been part of my life for the past 14 weeks.



Lots of these tools would be useful in my path to become teacher. Integrating technology into classroom instruction means more than teaching basic computer skills and software programs in a separate computer class. Effective tech integration must happen across the curriculum in ways that research shows deepen and enhance the learning process. In particular, it must support four key components of learning: active engagement, participation in groups, frequent interaction and feedback, and connection to real-world experts. Effective technology integration is achieved when the use of technology is routine and transparent and when technology supports curricular goals.



I have also started using many of the tools that have been introduced through all the modules and it has made myself into a tech-savvy person and i enjoy being part of it.



Of course our exam is around the corner and there are lots to study but i would like to thank Pn Foziah for giving me this opportunity to expand my technological horizon and engage myself with the virtual world

12th week~~~

HoLA ANd SaLaM

For this week we were shown a few sample of e-books. After viewing the sample, Mdm Foziah decided to have a look at our progress on our own e-book. She said that for the e-book, it need to consist of a theme, setting, have characters, it should has it own plot and also must have sound in it. This criteria given by her will help us in coming out with a interesting e-book.




Before the end of the class, she also shown us sample of video editing. She also mentioned about the criteria that we need to have in the video. As for this task, we are free to choose on any topic that we like.



Thus my group have chosen "Healthy Living" as our topic. We would like to convey our message through the video and hope that those viewing it will be able to grasp the information.

11th week~~~

Hola and salam

This is my 11^th entry. Honestly speaking, I believe that I have learned about a lot of things. Is that true? No! The truth is, I have only learned about a few things. Why? This is because; knowledge in this world is actually uncounted. There are so many things out there. There are so many software out there. What I have learned is just a few of them.

So, what should I do? The answer is actually very simple; I have to learn! I have to ask question from my lecturer! I have to discuss with my friends to get extra information and to share any information.

In the process of learning, I have to be patient and eager to learn at the same time. i need to be curious so that whenever I learn something new, I have to take risk, I must be eager to try and apply what I learned. Now, how about children in the primary school? They are curious, they are imaginitative, they have the sense of play and fun, they can think so differently. So, what; me as teacher should do to teach them, to make them learn, and most importantly to make them interested to learn?

First of all, I need to understand them just like I understand my own self. I need to consider about their interest, their emotion, and their feeling in conducting a lesson. That is why I need all the resources and teaching aids to help me succeed in educating my pupils. If I can tackle them, I can make them learn a lot of things from me.

Therefore, I must say that my journey as a learner will never end. Even though I’m going to teach one day, I’m still a learner. Learner is an on-going process and there is no end. Thank you. =)

10th week~~~

Hola and salam

Week 10, It’s the submission week for the lesson plans and also the teaching aids that we have been working on since before Raya holidays. Fuh!, it is a big relief to complete the entire task and submit it.
Next, we used today’s class to complete the remaining of module 2. As we all know, module 2 is about photo editing and it is really an exciting task. While working on the task, suddenly Pn.Foziah asked us to view our senior’s photo editing collection. I was amazed looking at the product. Photos are beautifully edited and the editing is very neat as well. There were about 280 photos and I viewed all of them. It was a tour of photo editing for me. From the module 2, I have learned how to edit photos, and now I have learned where and how to apply it.

After that, Pn Foziah gave a task for module 3. First is to create a ringtone. Next to cut and combine 2 songs and lastly to edit M.Nasir and Siti’s dua insan song. The submission of module 3 and the task is on 28th September.

9th week~~~

Waiting in front of MK2, with the hope that Pn. Foziah will open the door but instead of Pn. Foziah, Haiqal and Ashraf came carrying a box. They told me that Pn. Foziah is away and we have another task MODULE 2. Thank God, I had already finished my module 3 and now it time to start Module 2.

“PHOTO EDITING”, this is what I waiting for since the beginning of this semester after Pn.Foziah explained to us about our course. I really had fun editing the photos and in fact I’m really impressed with the software like Adobe Photoshop, iPhto, Photo bucket, Photoscape and also Triscape FXfoto. Many times I got disappointed as some pictures taken during happy moment got spoiled due to ‘red eye’, ‘blemishes’ and ‘scratches’. But this is not a big deal as all the problems mentioned above can disappear in split second just by using the software that Pn. Foziah introduced in this module. I did not expect that I can do many things by just using a photo, for instance like changing background, adding frame and text to the picture and many more.

Although completing module 2 is really fun, yet it still consumes a lot of time. This is because we need to download the software before carrying out the tutorial. Besides downloading, I also spend a lot of time exploring the software in order to find for the particular icon to edit the photos. The easiest software that I had explored in this module is Triscape FXPhoto, where else the most difficult one is PhotoScape.

Anyway I still manage to complete MODULE 2 and now waiting forward for module 4 and 5. Just hoping that, MODULE 4 and 5 will also be something useful for us to explore and learned. That is all about my experience completing module 2, see me in next entry, BYEEEEEEEEEE : )
